Twitter Ye Not

‘Twitter Ye Not’
Typographic prints from etched mdf.
Brief: Interpret the content of a twitter feed of your choice by making a series of typographic posters.
Solution: Design typographic posters phonetically to create and aesthetic image that at first glance looks illegible, but when read out loud, reads a clear sentence. I used a laser cutter to etch into mdf which created a raised surface that allowed me to print the posters by hand using a press.

('Cup of Joe and then we go')

('If we are silent we are good for nothing')

('Hope our lion remembers us when we return to Africa')

'Out Of Context'

'Out of Context'
Screenprinted book with hand stitched spine.
Brief: Show how technology has affected the change in language in a certain situation.
Solution: Nowadays language is often abbreviated in text messages, e.g. ‘laugh out loud’ becomes ‘lol’.
Reverse and show phonetically how phrases similar to this example would be spelt and look on the page using silkscreen printing.
